Uploading Documents From Microsoft Office

Getting Started

This guide explains how to properly upload files created with Microsoft Office (like Word or Excel) to your LetterStream account. Since direct uploads from Office software aren't supported, you’ll need to save your files locally before uploading.

Why Direct Uploads Don’t Work

LetterStream does not support direct file uploads from Microsoft Office applications. Attempting to upload a document directly from Word or Excel will result in an error or the file not displaying correctly.


How to Save and Upload PDF Files

If your document is in Word and you need to upload it as a PDF:

  1. Open the file in Microsoft Word.
  2. Click File > Save As.
  3. Choose a location on your computer.
  4. In the Save as type dropdown, select PDF.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Log in to your LetterStream account and upload the saved PDF from your computer.

How to Save and Upload CSV Files

If your address list is in Excel and needs to be uploaded as a CSV:

  1. Open the file in Microsoft Excel.
  2. Click File > Save As.
  3. Choose a location on your computer.
  4. In the Save as type dropdown, select CSV (Comma delimited).
  5. Click Save.
  6. Upload the saved CSV file from your computer to your LetterStream account.
