Transferring Account Ownership

If the current LetterStream Account Owner is leaving your organization, they can securely transfer the login without sharing their password.

The current Account Owner should:

1. Log in and go to My Account → Manage Users.
2. Locate their user profile marked Account Owner and select Edit.
3. Change the username and email address to the new Account Owner’s information.
4. Important: Confirm that the new email address is entered correctly, then save the changes.
5. Log out (the original Account Owner looses all access to the account at this point).

The new Account Owner should then:

1. Navigate to www.letterstream.com
2. Select Forgot Password from the LetterStream login section.
3. Enter their new username as established by the original Account Owner.
4. Our system will send a "forgot password" email to the new email address. Follow the instructions to establish their own password.
5. Log in using their new username and password.

This transfers the Account Owner login without requiring the original password to be shared.

Important: The new owner’s email address must be entered correctly so they can receive the password-reset email. If they new owner's email address is not entered correctly, both users will not be able to login.
