When using LetterStream to send mail, it is required that you include a valid U.S. return address on each mailing. This is necessary to meet USPS regulations tied to how we submit mail through our system.

Why a U.S. Return Address Is Required
- LetterStream uses a postal permit (indicia) to submit mail.
- USPS rules require that all mail sent this way includes a valid return address from one of the 50 U.S. states.
- This helps ensure mail is properly handled and returned if undeliverable.
What Happens If Your Return Address Is Invalid
Your mailing may be delayed or held if:
- No return address is included
- A deceptive or fictional return address is used
- The return address is located outside the United States
