This article explains how you can track the delivery status of your certified letters sent through LetterStream, as well as receive email notifications for delivered letters and newly available Electronic Return Receipts.

Email Notifications for Deliveries and ERR

If you want to receive an email notification each time a Certified letter is delivered or an ERR has been provided, you can request this by sending us a message.

  • We will flag your account to enable these notifications.
  • Emails will be sent at midnight when A) a new letter enters "Delivered" status or B) a new ERR has become available. Additionally, these emails will only be sent to the user who created that specific job.

Reviewing Tracking Details in Your LetterStream Account

If you’d prefer to limit the number of emails you receive from us, you can simply access the tracking information and view available signatures anytime, anywhere, directly from your account.

For Certified letters that have been successfully delivered by the USPS, the tracking status will be updated to “Delivered” once delivery is confirmed.

Here's how to review these details:

  1. Log in to your LetterStream account.
  2. Click on the Job Name or Job ID
  3. On the job recipient list and review screen, you will find:
    • A proof of the actual letter that was mailed.
    • A green status bar showing the delivery progress overview.
    • A tracking link showing status updates provided by the USPS.
    • If included, an electronic signature file that displays who signed for the letter, and when, once provided by the USPS.
