If you're preparing a mailing through LetterStream and need to upload addresses, you'll need to provide them in a CSV (Comma Separated Values) file. This guide explains how to save your file as a CSV from Microsoft Excel and provides a downloadable template to get you started.

Saving a CSV File from Excel

To save your address list as a CSV file using Microsoft Excel:

  1. Click File in the top navigation menu.
  2. Choose Save As.
  3. Select the location where you'd like to save the file.
  4. In the Save as type dropdown menu, select CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv).
  5. Click Save.

Tip: Be sure to verify your data remains correctly formatted after saving. Some special characters or formatting may change in the CSV format.
