Scheduling for a Future Date

  • When setting up a mailing, you can choose a future business day for it to be processed and mailed.
  • The date must be at least 2 business days from “today.”
  • The date must be no more than 6 months away.
  • Weekends and holidays are not available as possible schedule dates.

How to Set or Change the Schedule Date

  1. Create your mailing (upload content, addresses, etc.).
  2. Once your job is approved and paid for, go to My JobsMy Current and Completed Jobs.
  3. Under the Options column, click the EDIT link.
  4. From the available options, choose Change Schedule Date.
  5. Select your desired future date (within the allowed window), confirm, and save.

Date Constraints & Important Notes

  • Minimum Lead Time: at least 2 business days into the future. If you need faster mailing, use the expedite or rush options.
  • Maximum Lead Time: up to six months in advance.
  • No Weekends/Holidays: the chosen day must be a business day.
  • Though printing or inserting may occur ahead of the scheduled mailing date, actual mailing occurs on your specified date.
  • If you delete a job that’s already been approved, there may be printing and shredding fees.
  • Scheduling determines when we mail — not when the recipient will receive it. Delivery time can vary.

Use Case Examples

Here are a few situations in which scheduling future mailings is particularly helpful:

  • Out of Office: You want letters sent on a certain day but you’ll be unavailable (vacation, events, etc.).
  • Thank You Letters: Gather customer orders over a week, upload messages later, and schedule a mailing for a set date.
  • Appointment Reminders: For example, at month’s end compile reminders and schedule postcards for the next month.
  • Letter Drip Campaigns: Prepare multiple pieces now (e.g. to prospects) and schedule them to go out over successive months to stay top of mind.
