Eligibility for Sending International Mail

To send international mail through LetterStream:

  • You must include a valid U.S.-based return address (from one of the 50 states).
  • The recipient address must be located in a country currently served by USPS.
    • Check USPS international service availability on their website.
    • You must provide a complete and accurate destination address.
    • While LetterStream can't verify formatting for all countries, letters will be mailed as long as the address is complete.

How International Mail Is Delivered

  • All international mail is sent using the United States Postal Service (USPS).
  • The USPS partners with each destination country’s local postal service to complete delivery.
  • The cost of international postage is automatically included in the final mailing cost.

Note: Delivery timelines and success cannot be guaranteed as they are fully managed by USPS and its international partners.

Tracking and Delivery Confirmation Options

  • Certified Mail is not available for international addresses.
  • If you need tracking or a signature, choose Registered Mail instead.
    • Registered Mail includes tracking and is suitable for international deliveries.
    • This service has specific requirements and higher costs.
