Send Certified Mail to a PO Box
If you want to send certified mail to a PO Box, you can! However, keep in mind that the process is slightly different then if you were to send certified mail to a physical address. When sending certified mail to a physical address, the USPS is required to capture a signature from an authorized recipient (unless you specify that you don't want a signature included).
Since there is not a recipient available at a PO Box address, the carrier will leave a notice in the box, letting the recipient know they can pick the letter up from the front desk. There, the recipient will be required to sign for it.
Keep in mind, if you use LetterStream to send certified mail, we give you access to the signature file right in your account. So you don't ever have to worry about destroying or losing your green card for that letter.
Send Certified Mail Internationally
You cannot send Certified Mail internationally. If you need to proof of delivery or tracking data on an international letter, the USPS offers Registered Mail to serve this purpose. We do offer USPS Registered Mail, but the cost is quite high even when compared to the price of Certified Mail. Please email our customer service team for additional information.

Weight Restrictions
We can send documents that weight up to 13 ounces via certified mail. When your document exceeds 14 sheets of paper it will need to be sent in a large flat envelope rather than a standard #10 envelope.
You can send a maximum of 75 sheets of paper inside our large certified "flats" envelopes, as that is 13 ounces. Our system will not allow more than 75 sheets of paper to be included within a certified mailing.
For certified mailings that include more than 75 sheets of paper, we recommend using the "duplex" printing option which would allow a 150 page document to be printed as 75 sheets of paper. Otherwise, you may need to consider splitting the document up into multiple mailings.
