Color Printing Standards

LetterStream aims to deliver accurate and professional-looking color prints using consistent processes and quality controls.

  • Color printers are maintained to produce visually accurate documents.
  • Output is designed to meet professional mailing standards.
  • Consistency is prioritized across all print jobs.

Printer Calibration

To maintain quality and consistency:

  • Printers are calibrated weekly.
  • We use an industry-standard color spectrometer for accuracy.
  • Calibration follows factory-wide specifications and processes.
  • Calibration is performed in alignment with the latest ICC color profiles.

Color Matching Limitations

While high-quality results are the goal, exact color matching cannot be guaranteed. We follow the ICC (International Color Consortium) color profile, which is based on the CMYK color model and is an industry standard for commercial printing to ensure color consistency across devices.

Colors may vary slightly from what you see on screen or in your original design, and certain colors are more prone to variation, including:

    • Gradients
    • Pinks and flesh tones
    • Light background colors
    • Very dark sections

Best Practices for High-Quality Color Output

To achieve the best possible print results, follow these recommendations:

  • Select premium paper during the mailing setup process for improved color vibrancy and clarity.
  • Avoid relying on exact color matching for branding or critical design elements.
  • Design with slight color variation in mind to ensure acceptable final output.

Following these best practices will help ensure your printed documents maintain a clean, professional appearance.
