This guide outlines the available return envelope options when creating mailings with LetterStream. It details envelope types, features, and pricing to help you choose the best option for your mailing needs.

#9 Return Envelope Options

LetterStream offers a variety of #9 (business-size) return envelopes, ranging from basic options to those with postage included:

#9 Return Envelope – $0.20 each
Plain envelope, printed with your return address in the recipient location and four blank lines for your recipient to write their address.
#9 Return Envelope with Live Metered Postage – $1.01 each
Same as above, with prepaid postage applied via postage meter.
#9 Hand Match Return Envelope – $0.30 each
Similar to the basic version, but the recipient’s address is printed in the return area. Ideal for mailings with multiple return addresses.
#9 Hand Match Return Envelope with Live Metered Postage – $1.11 each
Combines hand-match addressing and prepaid postage—perfect for mailings with varied return addresses.

Special & Security Envelopes

#8 Secret Ballot Enclosed Envelope – $0.15 each
Designed for confidential ballot mailings. Fits inside a #9 return envelope.
#9 Right Window Secure Return Envelope – $0.10 each
Single-window envelope. Requires precise formatting of your document’s coupon return address. If you are unsure, please reach out to LetterStream Support.
#9 Left Window Secure Return Envelope – $0.10 each
Same as the right-window option, but with the window on the left side. Also requires exact placement of return address on your mail piece. If you are unsure, please reach out to LetterStream Support.

Other Envelope Types

6¾ Return Envelope – $0.05 each
Small, single windowed return envelope for check or coupon remittance. Options to include 1, 6, or 12 per recipient. Requires correct formatting of the “remit-to” address. If you are unsure, please reach out to LetterStream Support.
12-Pack of 6¾ Return Envelopes – $0.51 per pack
Pack of 12 small single-window envelopes, suited for remittances. Proper remit-to address formatting is required. If you are unsure, please reach out to LetterStream Support.
Flat Return Envelopes
Available upon request for larger or nonstandard mailings. Contact our team to explore this option, as is not currently available by default.

Including Multiple or Custom Envelopes

Multiple Return Envelopes
You can include more than one return envelope in a mailing. For ballot or annual meeting mailings, follow the Annual Meeting and Secret Ballot process. To include multiple #9 envelopes, please reach out to our team.
